  • Help me choose which self-build PI metal detector!

    I’m considering buying one of these kits. I would like to hear from you, if you have used any of these units. Please tell me what you think?

    Gary's Pulse Induction Metal Detector
    Silverdog PI
    And the sniffer XR1

          Hi thanks for that, can you also supply all the instructions and manual to build it IE which components are needed and where they go?

          Also I am looking for Pulse induction metal detector

            I did share Part List. All instructions are _similar_ to what you read in TGSL related forum and threads. All components were detaily measured, there are not mistake. Original PCB was measured, scaled in Sprint Layout, due detaily copied. I added capacitors on power supply lines for more stabile work. I added connection points for VDI too, if you will want to add VDI in future.

                    I assume by "Silverdog PI", you mean the Surf PI kit from Silverdog?
                    If so, this is a good choice.

                              I would sugest you making the Minipulse 3 which is PI, but its not for the beginer, If you live in the UK will make you a kit of parts up including a circuit board but would need to work a price out.
