              XP Gmaxx

Recently had chance to see XP Gmaxx in action. A friend brought it to me and we went outdoor for a few hours.
              What to say?
Need some skill to work with it.
              Not bad.
Yet, to much noise on higher sensitivity!? Funny...on 4.6kHz!?
I had simillar feeling as with Advantage, yet Advantage is much calmer. XP is pretty "wild" over grass and highly mineralized soil. But deep, indeed.
Although pretty descent....doesn't justify its price.
Choosing between Advantage and GMaxx...i will rather take Advantage.
I am not saying it is better, but much easier to deal with it.

Xp Do a few detectors in there range.

I think thery are on of the most thought out detectors on the market today.

They really meet the needs of the detectorist.

I have a XP Goldmax power, and a XP Adventise 2, would NOT be with out them

That's because Nigel at Regton KNOWS what he is talking about and has spent a LOT of time working with XP to get these machines just right!

The goldmax power is the most versatile on European soil.

                              The stock coil is great.

Serious detector guys use it as main kit - I know a father/son who have 22,000 acres and pull over 500 roman coins per year using this machine.

There is no perfect detector - people add a coke mod with a button. There is also software upgrades that come thru for this hardware. (chip swap)

If I had more, productive land I would buy one and stop building.

They do however take 8 1.5volt AA dry cells which I think is a rubbish plan.
