  • musketeer x coil

    hello

want to make a dd coil for a old minelab musketeer x
    based on minelab sterling
i sold my musketeer to somebody seems that he has crushed the good white 20cm superscan coil
next days i get the unit back and i want made a new dd coil
parallel i will open the old one to see whats wrong

has anyone tips for making dd coil musketeer x
i read the the newer musketeer coils also fit to older ones
has anyone some coil datas for me

i measured the old one but i dont know the specs (some months ago since i tested)
i think rx was something around 20mH and tx under 2mH

alternativ i would buy a musketeer coil that fits but i cant pay more than 60Euro within shipping

    thanks for help

    regards

Bernte, Found this in a post from Ivconic how to make a Musketeer coil for the IGSL

Already known 255x137mm "D" form (for 27cm DD coil):
    - TX=1mH, 42 to 45 windings, wire 0.5 to 0.55mm

    - RX=14.7mH, 165 to 175 windings, wire 0.22 to 0.25mm

      hello kliner

      thats something i supposed
because of igsl musketeer project but i´m not sure
because of coil specs i measure from superscan musketeer coil (think isnide concentric)

but if that are the datas i try my 4pin tesoro coils i have here
or the 30*38cm sef coil for tesoro

      will see thanks

          yes thanks
but attention excellerator 2 coil doesnt work on musketeer and also not at igsl
it has another phase shift ivconic gave me that info
but yes you are right for dd musketeer i should use 1mH 14,7mH but i must look if i have the right cap values on tx and rx from musketeer it works with a lower frequency

          regards
