Hi,
guess who is this girl in the picture below... seems an oil paint... but the image is from a face transformer software... so it's a real person (famous) from a real photo.

If you will find how is her you will win ONE PLAN FOR TO MAKE A MODIFIED RANGERTELL, kindly offered by some brazilian friends. ;)

(Of course... it will never work as LRL... but you could use it as a flask... changing the pot with a cork...details of mod included!!!)

SO GUESS NOW AND WIN THE BIG PRIZE !

Kind regards,
Max

No I'm not in war with LRLs... I feel like captain kirk... trying to understand how these thing have such a success by people here... ;) maybe some alien tecnology... uhm...

Maybe it's cause of the invisible rays they emit ??? I must ask Esteban about... but I'm sure he will give just everything but the answer I need.

I don't know... maybe better ask Scotty about... :D I'm sure he made an enormous LRL that finds coins from planet to planet...

The guess who championsip !

Thank-You , Thank-You, I was not 100% sure . No hurry on the prize , just fun to guess !!! It would be nice if the prize was her :D:D:D. Also a great prize would be some broken old Compass xp pro detectors :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:. Thats what I am searching for , but I am not going to pay $146.00 dollars like the one that was just sold on ebay and not working. I will eventually have a collection of compass and since they are out of business , I will draw some schematics. Since I cannot find a schematic for XP-Pro or Coin-scanner Pro . Have a Great Day everyone Eugene

Hi Rajesh,

Do you mean that you want to ignore the copper, but to detect all other metal, or you only want to detect copper?

There are some detectors on the market that have notch filters, where selected conductivity ranges can be enabled/disabled. Garrett, for instance, have this feature. You can take a target you want to ignore, and note where it appears on the display. Then simply turn off that particular notch. Alternatively, if you only want to find only that type of target, you can enable that particular notch and turn all the others off.

Have a look here -> http://www.garrett.com/hobby/hbby_gtax550_key.htm
Then click on "VIEW DETECTOR PANEL" on the right. This should make things clear. This detector has 12 notches available. I have an older model (GTAx 1000) and copper shows up on the scale at around #11.

The Whites Prizm has something similar, with 9 notches: http://whites.co.uk/index.php?whiteslocation=uk

Hope this helps.

The easiest way is to open the back of the laptop and remove the CMOS battery, and leave it out for several minutes. When you put it back, the BIOS will have been reset.

If this is a more modern laptop, it may have a security chip, and removing the battery will not work. Depending on the chip, you can short together certain pins, and that will reset the BIOS.

What is the make and model of the laptop?

Rajesh,
I think what you gave here is the windows installation key :D
What is needed is the computer model number.I have successfully unlocked a bios by connecting pins on the (db25) parallel connector and booting. It all depend of model.

Or it's some ehm... Kremlin pwd ???

that's the key... depends what there is... suppose you have a ...ops... uncommon bootloader... ok... you reset the bios and so remove the password startup check then... you enter bootloader pwd check and that's not so easy in this case...

Uhm... but sure, I think you know how to hijack that kind of gizmoes! :D

I will run e.g. some ehm... "customized" os and play a bit trying to identify the actual record of system os bootloader... then you could ops... have the pwd problem at os screen level if there is... so other work and other pain... you need some smart things to see it on other ehm... point of views : DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I SAY ? ;)

But... the question IS ... why all that pain ? for what ?

If really interesting stuff one can steal with no pain there with uncommon strategies but why so worried in restoring an hanged system ? Why don't formatting and load everything brand-new from dvds ???

MUST ASK Rajesh I know...

Kind regards,
Max

 yes right... but I think some people could be "scared" of shorting pcb tracks during startup... not me , of course!

I made similar "experiments" on some Dell lapthings

Hi Rajesh,
my friend I suggest , if you really need the informations trapped in that laptop, to find a good , trusted... ehm... "hacker"

I KNOW trusted hacker maybe is not self-explaining ... I mean you need someone that can read the whole Dell thing content without any Admin pwd or something...

I think you may ask people from some e.g. local unix/linux club maybe... or similar folks ( you may recognize them cause often they wear t-shirts with labels like "fu** the system" etc... )

I'm sure you'll find a couple of guys ready to hack-down any data there... for free!

BUT , do not contact these guys by email... better buy a ticket for the next linux-day and wear similar t-shirts there... just to seem like one of them...;)

Kind regards,
Max

There is a program here that will calculate the master BIOS password for Dell Latitudes from the Service Tag number -> http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~sk...s/latitude.exe

You need to open a DOS window (obviously on a different machine) and enter "latitude 12345", where you replace 12345 with your service tag number.

I also read somewhere that you can use a backdoor BIOS password. Trying entering "Dell". This is claimed to work for some Dell machines.

hi qiaozhi where sould be save this program

Götz von Berlichingen 04-11-2009 05:12 PM

About the "latitude.exe", you can save it wherever you want, but you need to run it from the command line.
It wants a 5 letter service tag number - yours looks longer than this.

A good Hardware Hacker can solve the Password Problem like this :
http://web.archive.org/web/200404290...dell/dell.html
Be careful
