What happens to electromagnetic cavity where there?

I don't understand your question. Do you mean why does a cavity resonate? Sorry I'm not much help here. I know sound waves resonate in a cavity like when you blow across the opening of a bottle. i would guess the electromagnetic waves bounce off the cavity walls much like sound does.
