the Heatkit is not TR but Induction Balance! From the early 70s. Do we have the schematic here - didn't found it so far. And because of the IB the adjustment is very critical. The question is,
how the IB is used together with the ferrite coil that seems to receive the electrostatic stuff

Hi Funfinder.
Ferrite is vertical to the IB coil so it nulls the receiving signal from the oscillator of 348.
It is a very sensitive passive receiver
