First rule is if you find something, don't tell anyone. Second rule is if you say anything on these skeptic forums, you will be branded a liar or the ultimate cop-out that you are a "gifted" person.
At least with equipment that uses L-rods, figure 20% equipment and 80% operator skill. That means an expensive locator (more complicated, too) is not going to work much better than a low-priced one if you are not skilled with the rods. Being skilled with the rods is more than just being able to hold them steady. This is where the meditation practice comes in. I guess I could compare it to air pressure. We are under 15 PSI but we don't feel that crushing force. That's kind of the same way those without meditation. The mental processes consume us and we don't see this. The two goals we need in meditation are a pure, clear focus (from a quiet mind), and an expanded awareness. Sure, you can learn it as you go but you will take ten times longer to learn and you risk giving up before you get it.
