Many dowsers use bent coat hangers(!) and they suceed.
Electronics , or the lack of it, is not what makes devices this type work. It's the human machine, a much more complex compound, interacting with other forces.

As for grounding, it depends. The Avramenko's fre electrons system does require no ground as the free electrons from atmosphere could not be tapped. But ground is important in other cases, since the earth is a capacitor itself.
In order to find treasure , you have to walk over it to begin with. People like to think that these gimmicks work so they dont have to work to find treasure. YOU HAVE TO WORK IN ORDER TO FIND TREASURE , there is no free ride. Treasure is not easy , a two box unit and do your homework for deep hoards. You will find treasure , but it still wont be easy. Suppose an LRL worked , you still would not find anything without doing some research. Like I said before , your legs will fall off. Every slight movement and the rods go every which way, making you think your on to something. I set a 1 ounce gold bar on my kitchen table and walked around it for hours , trying different techniques , and still did not get a response from the Colorado Junk Sticks. Now how is it going to find gold from any distance? The gold sticks are not my first rodeo with LRL's. I have experimented with dowsing many times before, and feel I have logged enough hours to say they do not work. Anything that sounds to good to be true , is useally an LRL.
