It's usually the dowsing and LRL believers that say skeptics do not have an open mind. When in fact it's the other way around. You are just not listening. Dowsing only appears to work because the mind is very adept at making you believe things that are not true.

Here's a nice little parlor game:

Take a length of thread and attach a small weight to the end. Then draw a cross on a piece of paper and suspend the weight over the cross. Try to keep your hand perfectly still, and concentrate on the weight. With the sheer power of your enormous mind you can make the weight move from side-to-side. After a while, will the weight to stop and then start oscillating in a vertical direction.

Such is the power of the ideomotor effect. You will swear that your hand was perfectly still during the whole experiment. So how was the weight able to move? My God, it must be a miracle! Or perhaps witchcraft!!

This is the same mind trickery that powers the Ouija board, table tipping and dowsing. C'est la vie!
