I don´t know for sure what is the explanation, but i think suspicious that the small magnets are not actually aligned with the rotating ones.The sound also is weird, and i wonder why the thing is so big, a transparent disk would be enough.
If was able to build this i would built several,call TV and give them working to them, and many other people.
And i would explain how to build it.
