I have read about LRL detectors that can find all treasures and other materials with simple methods that are guaranteed to work as well as expensive electronic LRLs. Some of them do not need to be adjusted for frequencies, because the frequency discrimination is built into the LRL via a sample chamber. You can simply use a sample of the treasure you are searching for to set the frequency. I think this is more accurate than tuning a circuit for the desired frequency.
