It is a simple modify of an old vlf.
Designer (my friend Rospy) abolished the discrimination stage and connected a 555 for audio. Thats all... don't work as lrl...
btw .. At pcb schematic the round coil is the Tx coil.

Yes... the circuit design is a VLF metal detector... but keep in mind that the PD Alonso circuit was a heat kit... I heard from friends that the rospy circuit works like LRL.
Did you make the rospy circuit?
Another thing, ask your friend Rospy if his circuit worked as LRL.

Alonso' PD was a TR detector with rule to pinpoint objects at small depth. The job of lrl was happening from the passive receiver.
I have construct the complete schematic of VLF that has construct Rospy but not the half of rospy. What do u wait to locate with a preamplifier with gain=10 and another amplifier with max gain~~ 40????? As it is the schematic maybe its good for compass
