Hi everyone, I did test with my PDK and I want to have your opinion because I do not have much experience with it ,
I had a compass effect but the LED lights up on east and west direction , is this result positife?

Compass effect is present when the lrl is at maximum sensitivity. This is normal for an lrl. Lower the sensitivity and search from north to south direction. If compass effect still present even you lower the sensitivity, try another coil like changing coil thickness to smaller size. Big coil wires is susceptible to receive stray electromagnetic feilds including lightning discharges a hundred miles away and that what happens to my pdk.Changing wire thickness will do the trick.

The compass effect is only in the east-west direction, and when I reduce the sensitivity it disappears, the coil measures 10 cm .
how to work with the PDK, make a horizontal or vertical movement or just facing south without moving hand ?
