Hi guys I found this strange looking thing at a swap meet. I did some googling and found some references to Dr Bickel and his detectors on your forums. Do you think this could be one of his hand held models?

Hi Ducati250!
Algor is a good machine, but only for large mineral or ore deposits.
It can hardly be used to detect buried or hidden treasure.
Today there are a lot more compact version of the device that produced a German company.
Still, it's nice to have one Algor.
Congratulations on a good purchase!
Regards!

From what i have read the cost of a used machine was about 10000$ at 1990's.Originally posted by Ducati250 View PostYes I have. Any idea what it might be worth?
It is a collectable machine and very rare so i believe that the price will be high.
Btw.... how much you bought it and where are you from????Geo

I am in the South Island of New Zealand. We have large quantities of minerals in the ground here so perhaps it has been used to survey some of them??? I would rather not say how much it cost me but as no-one knew what it was (me included) it was not a lot.
I will probably list it on ebay to see if there is any interest in it.
Thanks for your help.
