I stumbled across this site and was wondering if anyones taken one apart? Claims to detect gold ions at a distance so I contacted the US Rep.and invited him to come up to the next Taft Club get together at the club claim (6 contiguous placer claims in the El Paso Mountains,CA.) and he excepted.

This is another example of big box with nothing inside, made for US$10 and sold for US$3500.
I complain those naive guys who will buy these devices. Even if this will detect a coin at 300 meters, I wonder who will dig for it, or is this box delivered with a team of diggers?
Hear that, electrostatic electricity discovered in 1958 !! These guys never heard about Zamboni who made an electrostatic battery in 1815 !
Even if they sell only one of these boxes, they pay for the web site creation and hosting, plus a nice profit. Maybe there will be a lotto winner scammed into this !

Interesting....but I belive it's another scam device.

I visited the web page and had a look at all finds claimed by their devices.
Amazing... all the guys who claim to found treasure have either a Hotmail or Yahoo email address....smile...just for the case someone (a potential buyer) needs a confirmation on the finds....

Interesting. I emailed the poster and am waiting for a reply. The US Rep.lives here in the Los Angeles Area and I have contacted him regtarding a demonstration of the unit at my Placer Gold Claim in the N.W. Mojave Desert.
Hey, if I'm able to pull out 2 nuggets in a row from my claim with his product, I wouldn't care what was inside the box!

Speaking of Ion Detectors and Telluric Currents, there is a circuit called the "Scaler Electrostatic Gradiometer" by Bob Shannon that would be fun to build to observe Telluric and electostatic fields at the Alluvial Gold bearing soil where I mine. Thanks again and I appreciate the fact that you use your real name instead of hiding behind a phoney one.

I got into an email conversation with Mineoro quite some time ago, and came away with the impression that they have no real technical understanding of what they are claiming to do. As I recall, they were also investigating the transmission of VLF to "resonate" distant targets, á la LRL nonsense, though I don't know whether any of their current crop of miracle devices use this "technology".

Love to hear how the demo goes, let us know!

Marc, I have said many times before. Will some one tell me, why someone
would sell a locator, at any price, that really finds gold? This doesn't
logically make any sense to me? If this were true wouldn't all of the
charities be investing in this equipment?

If I had invented such an device, I would be digging in the Philippines
right now for billions in unclaimed Japanese world war two 50 ton and 100
ton loads just sitting there waiting to be recovered. Why would I waste my
time dealing with the ignorance of the buying public selling these units
that would find the valuable commodity that I wouldn't take the time to dig
up? Could it be that they don't want to break existing antiquity laws and
end up in jail? What is the truth here?

Does this make any sense to you Marc or any one else? Could this equipment
possibly be boggus and this is all a con?

SEEN THEM. YOU CAN BELIEVE IT OR NOT BUT THEY WORK. THEIR INVENTORS ARE

Minero is based on scientific fact

In research I have done, the Minero electrostatic detector is based on the fact that there is ionic activity over metals that have been in the ground for a long period. Now whether their device will detect that ionic activity is another story. A simple extremely sensitive electrostactic detector can be built for less than $20 including battery, IC (jfet), and a few other parts and case.

I am in the process of testing a unit as we speak.

Goldfinder and others, the problem with the Philippines, and other places of the sort, are endless; but one of the problems is that of course some places such as the above are only islands where there was a serious war, and so you have very large, and at times mony tons of just rusting iron metal, bombs, and rusting jeeps in the ground: Now, Iron is say 450 ohms, and gold is very very near that at 250 ohms; and so just be aware and let us all know what you think as to something detecting ions; is it possible that whatever unit would also totally be attracted to masive; or small, but rusting iron metal in the ground? Testing has been interesting. The ion detector did appear to locate some placer in a stream bed. Further tests are underway.

Where have you seen these models? On their web site, they show 3 new models, the IGD2005, VI99, and DIAS2005, see http://www.mineoro.com/dig2005.htm. They are very obviously dowsing rod crap. The "Center & Deep" is also a dowsing rod.

Last year I borrowed a PDC205, did some tests with it, and took it apart to trace out the circuitry. It cannot detect gold. It has all the appearances of being a fraud.
