Nothing strange to see, people like you and me. Ordinary people. Majority are descent and respectfull working people, with wishes and dreams like we or anybody else.
I met many americans so far. 1992/93/94 lived on Creta island nearby the main Nato base (Souda bay).

American people are descendants from the same people who live in all European countries, Scandinavian, Asian, African, and everywhere else. They think the same as anyone else anywhere in the world. Only difference is the influence of the culture in the USA. When you see American girls who have many problems worrying about too fat, not right fashions, etc... these are usually upper middle class, whose parents put pressures on them to look good so they will find a rich husband to take care of them. Often these girls are not too smart, because they spend all their energy to look good for a capturing a husband, not for learning important things. We have the "bimbos" who are the worst case... usually blonde with very low IQ, but always happy and like to make parties. You hear dumb blonde jokes about these ones. But a lot of smart American girls also worry about many unimportant things like this.

Hmmm... but I meant it different...

not just a closer look to americans but average americans in their native places... you know I wanna understand this local news stuff... I wanna see them watching for baseball scores...

I don't need tourists and soldiers to make new freinds... or other... I wanna stay there for a while... watching that baseball scores live!

This is a good idea. If you find a way to visit and stay with an American family for awhile, you will get a good idea of how things really are. You will see they like to watch for baseball scores, but also basketball and American-style football. These are the biggest national sports. But we also watch closely other major sports like the world football championships, and the olympics, etc. You will discover many Americans watch too much junk TV. We have cable TV with at least 50 channels in most locations. Some people have well over a hundred channels to choose from. So there is no shortage of TV programming to watch. I like the nature channels, science, documentaries, and movies for TV. But you can also find a lot of what seems like junk to me... simply comedy programs with content not as good as the quality of the 3 stooges (my opinion).
If you stay in the USA for awhile, you will also have a chance to see how the average American spends their time during a day and through the week. You will see what kind of leisure time activities they choose, etc. I think you will find it is not too much different than other places in the world that have similar degree of civilization. But you will also see there are parts in every large USA city where the customs of the old country are still kept. ie: any large city has a place called "little Italy" where a lot of Italians live and speak Italian, and seems like you are in Italy there. Same for China, Mexico, Korea, and a lot of other countries. So when you are looking to observe the average American, don't focus on these places, cause you could see these kind of places by traveling much shorter distance from where you are.

Most of the time there i was under huge influence of Amstel and Heineken, so i could date an alien too!
American girls were my favorites cose they really have nice custom to call another "tour" again and again to poor Serbian! I was expecting certain kind of antagonism considering that am Serbian - not so popular nation in '90. On contrary! Being Serbian between young Americans there was extra cool thing! Beer from all over arround, tour by tour - they probably wanted to kill me gently...or what!?

I met a number of very nice people from USA, not only girls.

Some were really pretty and also good in conversations, with culture I mean, even if blonde.

Some just pretty and nice and not much culture, apart, like reported high attention to fashion etc.

But , generally speaking, I found all americans I met really interesting for a reason or another.

Not to talk of very smart ones... real masters in their work/job ! I had real admiration for them... all the time !

Maybe I was just lucky ??? I'm aware not all americans are that way... but I met just good, nice and interesting people from there.

Also... about american girls... they are open minded! They are different from some other places I stay/stayed/visited.

Beers ? Sure they like! Me too ... and that was always a plus!

Kill you gently ??? NO! They wanna have fun... and if find interesting boy all fine... nationality doesn't matter.

I agree with JP... must visit US: there I could see better how things are...

I know very well... seems it's this way... but reality is really different.

E.g. American girls (and from some other countries also) grow in a different culture , like JP explained.

It's different importing models by TV and staying immersed all the time in that different culture. Dang different things.

Very different... I can say cause made many travels and so I know these differences there are still and also huge but people like watch tv , of course, MTV for jung people even more... even if reality is light years far from US or north america in general.

It's also somehow comic thing... cause some stuff you see like in US... then some other things are like 50-60 years ago in their country!

Me....if we talking about usa, i would prefer to ride whole route 66, from one to another end. What else... LA of course! Las Vegas! Atlantic City! And New York finally.... Worth to visit and see.

Sure, change the world....
Suppose all the world leaders had a meeting in a large room where beer from all over the world was served for all to sample, along with authentic pizza. After sampling enough beers, maybe the world leaders would return home with a new idea of the meaning of life. Maybe they will abandon their ideas of making war to solve problems. Who knows?
