Default Spam from your computer was detected!

I've since learned that the link in this message is a known attack site do not click on he link!

Hi,
I received this message in my Geotech mailbox this morning. Is this Mr Howard employed by Geotech to monitor site e-mail?
Has someone hacked the Geotech site?

If it is my ISP then I'm unable to comply with his request as our internal IS department must handle these types of issues.
I have tried to send a message to him asking for the mail header details so our IS guys can handle the problem, but Mr Howard's message box is full and will not accept any more messages.

Is this another sicko scam???

Regards
Kev.

P.S. I believe this could be a load of codswallop. Do not click the link to the free anti-virus program as it's probably malware. Claims such as "solve every problem with it" is a joke. Scum, taking advantage of confused and PC diseased people.

Hello. Email spam from your computer was detected! Highly recommend you to scan your computer for malicious and potentially unwanted software. If you do not follow this, I will have to make a complaint to your Internet Service Provider with attached log file (your IP address, etc.).
If you want to find a report about your computer's security and solve every problem with it, please click here: *Attack site*
This is an online service that you can use for free spyware removal. Use it to scan your computer to help protect, clean, and keep your computer running at its best. Use the free scan to check for and remove viruses, spyware, and other potentially malicious software and to find vulnerabilities or shortcomings in your Internet security.
Sincerely, Colin Howard

In the case of spam PMs or emails, then send an email directly to Admin including the offending message and who sent it.

Two other members have already reported this spam message, and the offender has been banned,

I got the same PM. See below what I received in my email inbox, and what was in this PM shown in the Geotech PM section:

As you can see from the PM, ColinXHoward was already banned by the time you read the message.

There have been a few of these PMs being sent recently, followed (of course) by the inevitable banning of the offender.

A message to anyone contemplating sending spam by this method -> I assure you that it takes a lot less time for me to ban you from Geotech, and block both your email and IP addresses than it takes for you to acquire a free email account, go through the registration process, confirm your registration, and then post the spam. Most members never even get to see it ... so don't bother!

And ... spam posted in the forum is even easier to remove.

FWIW, ColinXHoward also hit our forum and was promptly banned.

He has been spamming from 91.212.226.217 in the Russian Federation and the link he puts in the PM will probably load malware in your PC and hijack your PC to perform as part of a botnet.
