J_P it work on different way not only by use external generator. It can work by existing radio stations too (look at picture). This is real working LRL as we discussed as only possible (for us amateur) in thread: http://www.geotech1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16216 ![]()

You get several modes for external signals and a mode that works to locate buried metal when there is no external signal. You can use your own signal generator, or tune some radio station, and you can read the signal strength to verify the signal is there before locating buried metal. And best of all, the electronics inside are real. No fake circuits. Why buy an LRL with no guarantee to find anything when for only £510 you get a machine that is guaranteed to work, and has all these real electronic circuits? Best wishes, J_P |

Depend on your criteria and expectations. 9000hpx is not equipped with precise depth measurement and excellent pinpoint at depth and is only usable for bigger target than 33XD can detect. Although 9000HPX is relative deep it is hard to comparable with 33XD.

Wery well, but then you need a backhoe rather than LRL.
