I might pay $500 for a PDC210, just to gut open. I paid a lot more for my FG80, which is why I'm reluctant to cut into it. Still waiting for the fiscal pain to subside.

The one on eBay only shows it is not worth $4500 (although an earlier one at $2000 failed to get a bid). If bidding were opened at $1, my guess is it would close at about $1000.

That's true, although it still shows that it's grossly overpriced. Especially for something that doesn't actually detect gold from a distance.
