In the manual it say's "This technology works by sending specialized frequencies aimed at stimulating the electrostatic fields that form around buried metals due to their prolonged presence underground over long periods of time. These fields are genrated by the continuous interaction between metals and the surrounding environmental conditions over the years. This interaction causes the accumulation of electrostatic charges around the metals, allowing the device to detect them. This system is used in open areas or deserts where radio transmission waves do not reach" So it doesn't detect newly buried metals correct? Does anyone tested this LRL it seems good to me? does it work? Thnks

Many LRL manufacturers say for long time buried objects. But then say it still works on fresh dropped items only not as good. Now this is different from the ionic mode—some say it has to be buried 500 years! Others say at least 15 years. So there is some confusion about this whether they are referring to ionic or to LRL. But my experience with the Adroit is it does not detect fresh dropped items very well at all in the ADRI automatic mode.
There are other locators on the market that use bionic mode—these detect fresh dropped items. Like Geo Ground Gold Legend ($3300) or Gold Vision, or Mega Detection Mega Scan Pro, or OKM Delta Ranger Light or Delta Ranger Pro. My guess is OKM is superior but also very expensive $10,000 for the Light version and over $15,000 for the Pro version ( comes with magnetometer, thermal scanner, and 3d scanner). There are some YouTube videos showing the bionic mode. I don’t know how well
they really work. Some say they pick up mineralization. Probably best chance is OKM. They have been building bionic devices for many years.

People have asked me if I recommend the Adroit I say I am uncomfortable doing so. Mainly because I have a big metal rod in my leg and I have not had any success with the ionic mode. But I have not done much searching with it so I can’t say for sure. When I found that gold and sapphire ring, my first attempt the pinpoint was off a little ways. In a city park with my rusty metal detecting skills I did not find it the first day. I went back and tried again and found it. Out in the country this might not be an issue and there are few trash items but in a city park it’s not easy to sift through all the aluminum pieces that mimic gold. Since then the same situation occurred— my pinpoint was off and I went back later and found another ring 10k opal and amethyst. It took a lot of work.

I guess I should say anyone who thinks they can buy a locator and go to a city park and find a bunch of gold is in for a rude awakening. It’s going to take many hours learning to use the device and then it’s not easy to find anything in a city park. Thousands and thousands of aluminum pull tabs, pull rings, aluminum foil, can slaw. Pretty much need excellent metal detector skills to even have a chance and then it’s hours of work you might find anything or just a cheap 10k ring if you are lucky. Many areas do not have enough traffic for there to be any lost gold. And others have been picked clean. There’s a big city park here I’ve never found any gold except one unmarked low karat ring and only a few pieces of silver and I spent well over a hundred hours with a metal detector and a few hours with a long range locator. I’ve never even bothered to take the Adroit there.

im not saying don’t try it, just prepare for a lot of work and a lot of let-downs. But maybe you get lucky. Once you find some gold it gives you hope to find more. If it was easy all the gold would be gone. If you are finding nickels it’s a chance there could be some gold there. The price of gold today there is not much being lost.
